Suicide bomb deterrent

Abstract

One embodiment of a manufactured device presenting as a Suicide Bomb Deterrent designed to preemptively warn and deter in self-defense, and if need be to retaliate in reciprocal punishment, against a potential suicide bombing terrorist, taken to be deployed in public display either upon or near one's person, comprising a frangible retention envelope (1 of FIG. 1) into which has been inserted a mixture comprising porcine derivative (2 of FIG. 1), which envelope has thereafter been hermetically sealed and permanently affixed to a plaque (7 of FIG. 6) imbued with porcine derivative (9 of FIG. 6) and which plaque carries upon it a written warning (10 of FIG. 6) of content and operational function of said envelope and plaque presentment, with a method of construction capable of large scale adaptation to provide warning and deterrent capacity for dwellings, buildings, airframes, and motorized vehicles. Other embodiments, variations, and ramifications are described and shown herein.

Claims

1. A device of preemptive warning, deterrence and self-defense, against potential fanatical religious suicide bombers, comprising a frangible retention envelope with fill of porcine derivative.

2. The device of claim 1 further including said envelope is hermetically sealed after the introduction of said fill.

3. A device of preemptive warning, deterrence and self-defense against potential fanatical religious suicide bombers, comprising: (a) a frangible retention envelope, (b) porcine derivative situated within said envelope, (c) means to stabilize said derivative in suspension situated within said envelope, (d) means to preserve said derivative from organic decay situated within said envelope, (e) means to hermetically seal said envelope after insertion of fill comprising porcine derivative, stabilizer, and preservative, (f) a substratum of solid yet frangible material, (g) means to imbue said substratum with porcine derivative, (h) means to secure said hermetically sealed envelope to said substratum, (i) means to warn persons of content and operation of said device, and (j) means to publicly display said device.

4. The device of claim 3, wherein said porcine derivative situated within said envelope is pig blood in liquid state.

5. The device of claim 3, wherein said means to stabilize said derivative is an anticoagulant.

6. The device of claim 3 wherein said substratum of solid yet frangible material comprises a thin, flat plaque of wood.

7. The device of claim 3, wherein said porcine derivative imbuing said substratum is pig bone.

8. The device of claim 3, wherein said means to imbue said substratum with porcine derivative includes painting the surface of said substratum with a mixture comprising approximately one part powdered pig bone fixed from organic decay by preservative to four parts liquid imbuing agent.

9. A method of preemptive warning and deterrence against a potential fanatical religious suicide bomber, comprising: (a) providing a frangible material, (b) providing means to infuse said frangible material with a predetermined quantity of porcine derivative, and (c) providing a publicly displayed warning of the presence of frangible material infused with porcine derivative, and probable consequences of catastrophic failure of said frangible material infused with said porcine derivative, and subsequently resulting wide area disbursal of porcine derivative upon detonation of an explosive charge in close proximity thereof.

10. The method of claim 9 wherein said frangible material is selected from a group consisting of envelopes and solids.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0005] 1. Field of Invention

[0006] The present invention is a manufactured device related to personal self-defense. More particularly, the present invention is a novel device to preemptively warn and deter, and if need be retaliate in self-defense against, a potential suicide bomber in the theretofore anticipated detonation of an explosive charge within close proximity of said device.

[0007] 2. Description of Related Art

[0008] In order to provide background information so that the embodiments of the present invention as disclosed herein may be completely understood and appreciated in their proper context, reference is made here to a number of historical events, public writings, and related art creations, as follows:

[0009] It is a historically known reality that the fanatical religious Moros of the Philippines during the Spanish-American War of 1898 began losing their desire for terroristic suicide death when faced with spreading word that Moros killed in battle would be wrapped in pig skins before being buried by American forces, leading the Moros to believe that they faced not only physical death but also the death of their respective souls.

[0010] According to the Moskovski Komsmol newspaper, wrote columnist James Taranto in the Wall Street Journal, Nove. 1, 2002, Russian security forces had decided to bury the terrorists, killed during the then recent hostage siege, wrapped in pig's skins. The aim was to deter potential fanatical religious terrorists from future attacks, by negatively affecting their afterlife.

[0011] Many years ago, Rabbi Moshe Antelman, an Israeli chemist, developed a pork laced bullet known as the AT-PLO (Anti-Terrorist Paradise Lost Ordinance). Preface.

[0012] We live at a time when we see that our world is at war. Any war, whatever war, used as a base, is all too horrific in its violent and destructive loss of life and propert. This war of our time is a newly aggressive and extremely vile strain of warfare. In distinctively sinister ugliness, this warfare has transmutated from dealing in death between uniformly identified military combatants to dealing death to innocent civilians, while transmigrating from the battlefields distinguishable on maps of previous wars to the suburbs, cities, and towns otherwise indistinguishable from a generic Pleasantville.

[0013] Times were bad enough when we witnessed our courageous and selfless eagles of peace engaged in conventional military combat with the savage dogs of just any war. Now, we witness law-abiding citizens of every family and of all ages--from our elderly to our newborns--living precariously under the new and more personally dangerous threat of suicide bombing terrorists who claim themselves to be doing the religiously righteous work of a higher law.

[0014] Unfortunately, it is a sad reality of fact known to all who are familiar with current world events that fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorists are real. These bombers kill hundreds of innocent people of the general public each year in places all around the world. One primal motivation of these suicide bombers is their sincerely held religious belief that it is infinitely better to die while killing others, upon voluntary detonation of a suicide bomb designed to kill the bomber and as many bystanders as is reasonably practicable, in what the suicide bomber believes to be a religiously righteous act which guarantees said bomber's soul a place in Paradise as a religious tenet, to lay there with virgins and to commune there with God and His Prophets, than to live peacefully in a world of friendly harmony with those they gratuitously label infidels.

[0015] In the events, writings, and prior art disclosed above, no obvious consideration was given either to protecting and preserving all human life or to providing means for personally controlled self-defense preemption of harm to all living persons of the general public prior to a terroristic tragedy having occurred, and without resort to utilization of offensive weaponry. It is axiomatic that the methodology of wrapping dead bodies in pig's skins is reactionary in design and implementation, not preemptive, necessarily accepts, even requires, human deaths as a prerequisite to affecting diminished desire for, and deterrence of, future terroristic attacks, and that bullets are intended primarily to cause death or serious physical injury rather than saving lives.

[0016] Heretofore, individual members of the public have had no readily available means to preemptively warn, deter, and if need be to retaliate in self-defense against, the homicidal inclinations of potential fanatical religious suicide bombers. Whatever the precise merits, features and advantages of the above cited references, none of them achieves or fulfills the purpose of preemptive warning, deterring, and self-defense retaliation of the present invention.

[0017] A significant and unfulfilled need of human lifesaving proportion presently exists in the field of preventing suicide bombing attacks altogether. What is needed is a personally controlled suicide bomb deterrent which presents as defensive, rather than offensive, in nature, design, and implementation, incorporates a preemptive methodology of deterrence, rather than reactionary, to be utilized before, rather than after, a first suicide bombing has occurred, in operational pursuit of protecting and preserving all human life, potential bombers and intended victims alike. [0018] Common in military teaching the world over is found a version of the axiom that in order to defeat one's enemy in battle one must learn to think as one's enemy. Beginning at a point of hoping that suicide bombings would end so that no more people would die in such manner, including bombers, the inventor of the instant Suicide Bomb Deterrent made an effort to learn to think as one's enemy. Said inventor was thinking as a potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist at the time of conception of ideas now set forth in the reality of embodiments disclosed herein.

[0019] In as much as said embodiments were conceived and designed under a process of thinking like a potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist, and were designed to operationally function against said terrorist, the reader is asked at this stage of the disclosure to consider and test said embodiments, not from the standpoint of what the reader believes to exist or not to exist, but from the standpoint of whether the reader will be convinced that said terrorist will be convinced, warned, and deterred by said embodiments. The reason for this unusual request should become quite clear to the reader as this disclosure document unfolds the same old story of good versus evil in an entirely new and significantly enhanced version, where the psychological sciences are seen to meet religious concepts in a truly life and death struggle to influence human behavior in a world where good is somehow seen as evil, and evil is somehow seen as good.

[0020] At a later stage of the disclosure the reader will be asked to consider and test the embodiments against empirical data, scientific standards, and clinically recorded human behavioral phenomenon. For the time being, the reader is asked to objectively evaluate the utility and operational parameters of said embodiments, perhaps thinking as one's enemy.

[0021] Whether we like it or despise it, acknowledge it or ignore it, do something about it or believe that nothing can be done about it, this new war is your war, my war, collectively a citizen's war.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0022] In accordance with one embodiment, the present invention as claimed is a manufactured device of self-defense designed to preemptively warn and deter the potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist from otherwise detonating an explosive charge in close proximity thereto, comprising a frangible retention envelope containing material including porcine derivative, which is affixed to a substratum of solid yet frangible material imbued with porcine derivative. An operational warning notice adorns the front of said substratum, disclosing capability of said device to effectively deliver a retaliatory consequence in self-defense against a suicide bomber detonating an explosive charge in close proximity thereto.

[0023] The principal object of said embodiment as claimed is to provide to individual members of the public a readily available self-defense device taken to be deployed in public display and which, based upon the generally accepted doctrine of reciprocal deterrence made more internationally familiar as Mutually Assured Destruction, is believed to operate for the preemptive cause and purpose of warning and deterring the potential fanatical religious suicide bomber having inclination toward homicidal activity of suicide bomb detonation. Said operation is believed to be accomplished by defensively presenting a clear and present danger of significant and immediate retaliatory consequence to the person and interests of said potential bomber, such to dishearten or countervail said potential bomber's motive for suicide bomb detonation, effectively discouraging said potential bomber from proceeding with bomb detonation in operational pursuit of protecting and preserving all human life and property otherwise in mortal and destructive danger, potential bombers and intended victims alike.

[0024] It is also an object of said embodiment as claimed to provide such a device which is portable and easily displayed.

[0025] Another object of said embodiment as claimed is to provide such a device which is of simple and inexpensive construction.

[0026] A further object of said embodiment as claimed is to provide such a device which is decorative, artful, and appealing.

[0027] An additional object of the present invention as claimed is to provide such a device having extensively diverse and far-reaching capabilities for adaptation in order to satisfy deterrent needs across the spectrum from individual end user to even the largest commercial and industrial applications.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

Description--Basic Unit--FIG. 1.

[0045] Refer now to FIG. 1 of the Drawings 1/2, which is an overall drawing of the basic unit of the self-defense device as presently contemplated. As shown in the drawings, in accordance with one embodiment of the basic unit of the self-defense device of warning, deterrence, and retaliation as presently contemplated, said basic unit includes at FIG. 1, a frangible retention envelope 1, into which has been inserted a mixture of materials comprising porcine derivative and a stabilizing agent and an organic preservative 2, a bottom end cap 3 which is preferably of strong molded solid material permanently secured to the bottom of said frangible retention envelope 1 by adhesive glue which is not water soluble, a top end cap 4 which is preferably of strong molded solid material permanently secured to the top of said frangible retention envelope 1 by adhesive glue which is not water soluble and having on its top a ring eye 5.

[0046] Frangible retention envelope 1 preferably comprises a material such as glass or silica in a thin walled state such as a vial, bottle, or tube, although other solid yet frangible material may work equally as well. Inserted mixture of materials 2 preferably comprises pig's blood with an anticoagulant and an organic material preservative, although as will be disclosed in the second embodiment and alternative versions other porcine derivative is suitable. End caps 3 and 4 are preferably comprised of precious metal such as gold or silver, although other durable materials are also suitable. Bottom end cap 3 and top end cap 4 are preferably permanently secured to their respective ends of frangible retention envelope 1 utilizing a strong, quick-drying cyanoacrylate adhesive in such a manner as to create the hermetic seal of envelope 1 after insertion of mixture of materials 2 into envelope 1, although other methods of permanently securing caps 3 and 4 to create said hermetic seal are possible and suitable.

Description--First Embodiment--FIG. 6

[0047] Refer now to FIG. 6 of the Drawings 2/2. As shown in the drawings at FIG. 6 the first embodiment of the self-defense device as presently contemplated has basic unit FIG. 1 preferably permanently secured into a recessed cavity 8 located near the top and in centerline of a mountable plaque 7 imbued with porcine derivative 9.

[0048] Although it is presently contemplated that basic unit FIG. 1 be secured into recessed cavity 8, it may equally as well be secured to plaque 7 in other ways. It is preferred that basic unit FIG. 1 be permanently secured to plaque 7 using an adhesive glue which is not water soluble and which is suitable for permanently affixing glass to painted wood, anticipating possible outdoor display, although other adhesives and permanent fixers may work equally as well. It is preferred that plaque 7 be made of wood, although any thin, flat plate of solid yet frangible material may work equally as well. It is preferred that plaque 7 be imbued with powdered pig bone by applying to plaque 7 a painted coat mixture 9 preferably of approximately one part powdered pig bone fixed from organic decay by preservative to four parts liquid paint of any color, although other methods of imbuing plaque 7 with powdered pig bone will work equally as well.

It has been treated with preservative and anticoagulant additives. Further, this Shield is imbued with pig bone. Detonation of an explosive charge within close proximity of this Shield is greatly discouraged. Such explosive event is likely to cause the catastrophic failure of the containment properties of the glass amulet and this Shield, resulting in the indiscriminate disbursal of porcine derivatives over a vast area of the immediate surroundings.

Operation--FIGS. 1-6.

[0052] For a full and complete understanding of what is presently believed to be the most efficient mode of operation and the principles thereof necessary to carry out the preemptive cause and purpose of the invention as presently contemplated and claimed, it is intended that the entire content of this subheading of Operation be read and understood in conjunction with a contemporaneous reading and understanding of the entire content of subheading Human Factors Influential To Operation which follows.

[0053] Functional operation of the present invention as claimed is based, in part, upon the following statements of fact:

[0054] WHEREAS, the physical laws of cause-and-effect are of a scientifically proven nature.

[0055] WHEREAS, the sincerely held religious beliefs and practices of even the most fanatical religious suicide bomber contain a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs; which necessarily must accord in all respects with the physical laws of cause-and-effect, at least as to all things terrestrial.

[0056] WHEREAS, to deter is to stop or prevent or discourage from acting or proceeding by presentment of danger, difficulty, or other consideration which disheartens or countervails the motive for the act. A deterrent is anything which impedes or has a tendency to prevent.

[0059] It is believed that the present invention as claimed operates as follows:

[0060] As may well be expected according to the physical laws of cause-and-effect, it is intended that both frangible retention envelope 1 of FIG. 1 and plague 7 of FIG. 6 of the embodiments as presently contemplated will rupture and disintegrate to disburse their contents and/or coatings comprising porcine derivative over a broad area of their immediate vicinity when in close proximity of a blast wave from a detonated explosive charge had in air, such as a suicide bomb. Said blast wave is expected to consist of an abrupt rise in air pressure followed by a drop in air pressure to or below atmospheric pressure causing the catastrophic failure of the integrity of both envelope 1 and plaque 7 and resulting in said disbursal.

[0061] As shall be explained in greater detail under the subheading Human Factors Influential To Operation, one primal motive of a potential fanatical religious suicide bomber to detonate a suicide bomb, which kills said bomber and targeted victims, is solidly grounded in said potential bomber's sincerely held religious belief that such killing guarantees the departed soul of said bomber a final place of eternal abode in a heavenly Paradise not of this world.

[0062] As shall also be explained in greater detail under the subheading Human Factors Influential To Operation, to include specific reference by citations to independent written authority, the sincerely held religious beliefs and practices of the most fanatical religious suicide bomber contains a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs, which ordains warfare and commands said bomber to fight even by suicide bombing to slay the infidel nonmember of said bomber's religion wherever they are found by arrest, besieging, and laying in ambush everywhere for said infidel nonmember until such pays tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued. Said moral code also critically cautions that the gates to Paradise as the final abode of said bomber's soul will be closed to said bomber should said bomber die a mortal death while defiled of body by pork.

Because the actual capacity for significant retaliation hazard of undesirable and unacceptable punitive consequences of damage to said bomber's well-being by and through blast wave rupture and disintegration of said publicly displayed device and disbursal of said porcine derivative are then imminent, said bomber, knowing that being bodily defiled by pork is anathema to righteous moral conduct necessary for entry into Paradise, is expected to take immediate curative action to protect said bomber's life, and thereby the lives of suicide bomb targets and innocent bystanders, through said bomber voluntarily choosing mutually respected detent over mutually assured destruction, and failing then to detonate an explosive charge.

[0065] The foregoing detailed description of the first embodiment of the present invention has shown and described a novel manufacture which fulfills all of the objects and advantages sought therefore. It is intended that the scope of said invention be limited not by this detailed description, but rather by the spirit and scope of the claims appended hereto. All alternative embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of said invention claims are deemed hereby to be covered by said invention.

Description--Second Embodiment--FIGS. 1 and 6--Operation

[0066] Refer now to FIGS. 1 and 6 of the Drawings 1/2, 2/2. In substantial conformity with the spirit and scope of the present self-defense device as presenting in FIG. 6, the second embodiment presently contemplated presents frangible retention envelope 1 of FIG. 1 into which has been inserted a mixture of materials comprising pig bone in powdered state and an organic preservative in powdered state and an anticaking substance 2. This second embodiment essentially only exchanges the liquid properties of mixture 2 of FIG. 1 to powdered properties, and amends warning words 10 of FIG. 6 to reflect the exchange of pig's blood in a liquid state with pig bone in a powdered state. The operation of this second embodiment is expected to be identical in all substantial respects to that of the first embodiment.

Description--Alternative Version--FIGS. 1 and 2--Operation.

[0067] Refer again to FIG. 1 and now to FIG. 2. In substantial conformity with the spirit and scope of the present self-defense device, an alternative version is presently contemplated which presents the basic unit FIG. 1 as personal adornment. In FIG. 2 it is seen that top end cap 4 has on its top a ring eye 5 through which a ductile string of material 6 such as a chain may pass in order to hold the device in place on one's person, as a talisman on a necklace. This alternative variation or module version is clearly marked upon its surface with American English, Arabic, and Hebrew characters for "Danger" and "Pig" in order to serve the object and purpose of warning and deterrence.

Anticaking, Anticoagulant, and Preservative.

[0068] Agent or substance of anticaking may include silicon dioxide or tricalcium phosphate. Agent or substance of anticoagulant may include sodium citrate. Agent or substance of organic preservative may be selected from a group consisting of sodium benzoate, sodium nitrite, sodium salicylate, and sodium sulfide. Other agents or substances may work equally as well as those listed herein.

[0069] Many different forms of mix of porcine derivative and stabilizing agent and organic preservative 2 of FIG. 1, as well as porcine derivative and organic preservative 9 of FIG. 6, all suitable for the objects and purposes hereof, may be acquire in premixed state from any of several retail and/or wholesale suppliers of porcine derivative.

Human Factors Influential To Operation.

[0070] Those persons presently skilled in the sciences of the human mind and human behavior will quite readily understand and appreciate what may take the rest of us just a little longer to understand and appreciate concerning why people do what they do.

[0071] People do what they do because human factors such as truth, principles, values, ethics, aesthetics and religious concepts influence mental processes and guide individual as well as group conduct and behavior. Such factors would influence the motives and ends of action presenting in a real world scenario having a potential fanatical religious suicide bomb wielding terrorist preemptively challenged by a defense of warning words 10 and porcine derivative 2 of FIGS. 1 and 9 of FIG. 6 upon the publicly displayed embodiment of said Suicide Bomb Deterrent had in FIG. 6 Drawings 2/2.

Relevant and Material Religious Factors.

[0072] Of paramount importance as a factor influential to the end result of either operational success or operational failure of said embodiments is a variable presenting in the fundamental free will choice of said terrorist. However variable said free will choice may initially appear, influential factors in the form of doctrinal laws, laid down upon the pages of sacred texts revered as the word of God and forming the greater part of the sincerely held religious beliefs of said terrorist, guide and restrain the moral conduct and behavior of said terrorist.
